Have you heard of the word "internal expression"?
There is the opposite of "external representation" and "external world", but there is no such thing.
Like the altered state of consciousness, it may be a little confusing because it is a term in traditional psychology and cognitive science research history. It was
For example, if you put a cash card in an ATM, you will get money.
When I asked a human to "please give me 10,000 yen", he gave me 10,000 yen.
No one says, "Please give me 10,000 yen" and "Yes, please", but please understand this is an example.
At this time, both ATMs and humans have the action of "paying money" as an external function.
How about this inside and inside?
In the case of human beings, "I'm saying that I want 10,000 yen, so I'll give you 10,000 yen."
I will recognize and understand so that I will pay.
With ATMs, there are various complicated systems in programming, and money comes out.
It is the logic of cognitive science, and the complex system inside it is called "internal representation".
Belief in functionalism (functionalism / function) is the definition of a cognitive scientist.
That function is called "internal representation".
The world that you are aware of, the internal representation, varies from person to person.
The internal representation is just the information that you create.
If you say that you created it yourself, there is a slight misunderstanding.
My internal expression is strongly influenced by my parents and education (school teacher).
The internal expression changes depending on the environment in which you grew up.
In the process of a baby being born in a pure white state and growing up as an adult, the information received from parents and school teachers and the information created by himself are accumulated in the brain to express internal expression. I will configure it.
In a sense, the brainwashed information is stored in the brain, creating an internal representation. Here, it is said that it was created by myself because my brain creates internal expressions, but as mentioned above, it is also influenced by parents and teachers.
The internal expression is information. Information can rewrite.
In cognitive science, the mind is the same as the internal expression. Therefore, it is an internal expression of the human mind.
Until a long time ago, the technique of rewriting the internal expression was to "generate altered consciousness, hypnotize, and suggest."
Hypnosis can also explain by rewriting the internal representation and homeostasis feedback.
There are considerable individual differences in the level of skill and skill of hypnotists in the streets.
If people who are called good people can be hypnotized,
It can explain as "creating altered consciousness, hypnosis, and suggestion."
For example, let's say you face the other person and reach out to shake hands.
What if the other person stops or withdraws in the middle without shaking hands?
My hand will stop with it outstretched. This phenomenon of stopping is called catalepsy.
It will harden nicely.
Catalepsy is a condition in which you maintain a passively captured posture and do not try to change it on your initiative. It is one of the catatonia syndromes and is based on impaired motivation.
The brain regards the process of shaking hands as a series of movements, so if it is flipped in the middle, it will be confusing. And it separates the internal expression of oneself from the hand.
It will be out of the control of the brain.
In ancient Japanese martial arts, many techniques skillfully utilized the internal expression of the other party.
It seems that those who understand the contents well will understand it,
Even if I look at it by my side, it only looks like it is being thrown on purpose.
Small martial arts are martial arts that use the other party's power without using power.
Even at the unconscious level, homeostasis acts on the internal expression depending on the environment of the outside world.
For example, suppose someone has settled down in a cosy comfort zone.
Coaching turns the familiar comfort zone into an uncomfortable one as he finds the goal he wants to do and begins to reach it.
At this time, a new comfort zone is being created on the goal side.
When that happens, this person's unconscious thinks it's normal to be already in a new comfort zone.
And, with the power of homeostasis, you will be pulled up to your comfort zone = a new comfort zone.
It is the key to achieving the goals of cognitive science coaching.
Lou Tice coaching uses the term "Belief System".
In cognitive science terms, this is "internal representation."
However, briefs (beliefs) may be more familiar than internal expressions for those who do not know cognitive science.
Although it may not be evident to us Japanese, severe conflicts between Arabs and Jews, South African blacks and whites, Irish Catholics and Protestants, ethnic or within the same race are caused by this same reasoning.
In short, the brief system of "I can't stand the other person" creates the attitude of historical conflict.
They work in the human brain because attitudes are first created based on the person's "belief", the Brief System.
Then put that attitude into action. When it is repeated, it becomes a habit.
Because the brief system has a hierarchy, the upper hierarchy dominates the lower hierarchy in the brief system. Therefore, as long as the upper hierarchy does not change, the lower hierarchy does not change either.
As soon as you gain this knowledge, you may change your eating habits.
In other words, gaining the knowledge that "carbohydrates are not good for the body" will change the brief system and significantly impact the attitude.
The brief system refers to actions taken at an unconscious level or one's own beliefs. This change also changes the attitude.
You have to change what you think at the unconscious level.
It is called rewriting the internal representation.
Everyone has self-talk in their brain.
Self-talk is a monologue in which you introspectively say, "I'm done!" Or "I'm stupid." Soliloquy is not just a matter of words.
I said that I made the internal expression myself, but it is mainly made by this self-talk being repeatedly in my head.
If you repeat self-talk many times, you will create a self-image that you are such a person.
Self-image is what we call the ego. Even if an event happens only once, if you repeat self-talk about it, you will be taken into your ego as if you had experienced it many times.
To set a goal and reach it, you need to improve your self-talk gradually.I give up saying "I can't do it" or "I can't do it". It is negative self-talk brought about by past self-images, and many are bound by it. So, first of all, it is necessary to get out of this state.
Teleological things such as "should be" and "would be nice" are born. However, there is no way to solve the problem, so self-talk at this stage does not make any difference.
"Oaths" such as "Let's stop doing this" and "Let's get out of this state" are born. You'll head towards your goals and start looking for your image of solving the problem at this stage. The self-talk, "I don't like this situation anymore," raises the question, "What should I do?" In response to that question, we cannot move forward without a new image different from the current situation, so we start looking for it.
It's time to create self-talk about your new image. At this point, you will be able to perform self-talk toward an entirely new dimension, such as "I want to do this next" or "I want to be like this tomorrow." It represents a future that is not just a desire but a reality that seems to be realized right now.
Self-Talk is from the Lou Tice Program
It is a significant factor that leads to affirmation.
